The Aylsham Heritage Centre website offer plenty of information on the heritage of the local area.
The centre is run by a very able troupe of volunteers. The award winning site is in the newly converted Church rooms at St Michael’s Church in the centre of Aylsham. The Aylsham Heritage Centre has a varying programme of exhibitions throughout the year, plus a growing library of old photos and recorded memories from contributors. From Aylsham Marketplace, head into the churchyard and walk down the path keeping the church on your left. The centre can be found at the end of the path next to the War memorial.
The Aylsham Heritage Centre is now home to the Tourist Information office with a good stock of leaflets and maps. The Whistle-stop Café at the Bure Valley Railway is also providing this service.
